Repair starts with observation
Slow drainage, unusual odour, a stuck cover or visible debris may be reasons to ask for an inspection. They are not, by themselves, a diagnosis or proof that the valve needs replacing.
- Do not dismantle a component you cannot safely identify.
- Ask whether cleaning, access work or a part replacement is being proposed.
- Request the observed condition in writing.
